Review by Looby Loo & Goubba
Expecting a musical comedian, I was surprised to find I enjoyed his stand up slots more entertaining than his songs. David is a very likable comedian, one that rolls around on the stage and plays the keyboard. His stand up was based on his life, having just broken up with his girlfriend. He highlights the struggles of doing stand-up in this heartbroken state, the troubles of “Frisbee Dog” on the Wii and his fear of mice. However as I’m starting to see, the classic cliché of all comedians being sad or depressed, is starting to appear very true. Despite the depressing start of his comedy, he still portrays his life in a very amusing fashion. Although David was funny, he loses out on “four wigs” for his lack of groundbreaking material. However, it is still an entertaining and worthwhile show.
